The development of The Farmworker Health Administration System Electronic Services (FHASES) operation was initiated in September 2001 with the goal of optimizing efficiency at the NCFHP site and administrative level for collection and submission of the Uniform Data System Report (UDS) yearly reporting requirements to its grantor, the Bureau of Primary Health Care (BPHC). The UDS is collected by the BPHC to ensure that Migrant Health Programs are in compliance with legislative mandates and to report to Congress and policy makers on program accomplishments. To meet these objectives, BPHC requires a core set of information collected annually that is used for monitoring, evaluating performance, and for reporting on annual trends throughout the US.
The FHASES program is the first web-based system developed for use by a Migrant Health Program. It allows for the collection of integrated summary data from various source systems with the ability for real-time data analysis. This is then coupled with continual technical support with the convenience that an online system provides.
