Annual NCFHP Farmworker Health Outreach Orientation

Location: Eno River Unitarian Univeralist Fellowship (ERUUF), Durham, NC

Who should attend: This annual training is intended for farmworker health outreach staff, interns, volunteers and administrators who have not yet attended the NCFHP orientation/who have worked less than 1 year with NCFHP. It is required for new staff and interns working at one of NCFHP’s contract sites; outreach staff from other agencies are welcome to attend by paying a $250 registration fee.

Key training objectives:

  • Gain skills in farmworker health outreach, case management and health education through presentations by NCFHP staff and organizational partners and by practicing with peers
  • Be familiar with the NC Farmworker Health Program and its statewide network, including program requirements/expectations, policies and procedures, and the resources/assistance we offer; and
  • Network and learn with other farmworker health outreach staff from across North Carolina

The training begins at 1pm on Monday, June 10th and concludes at 4pm on Wednesday, June 12th. Hotel accommodations will be provided on Monday and Tuesday nights if needed (training participants will be paired with a roommate). Lunch is provided on Tuesday and Wednesday.

Registrants will receive more details in a few weeks including an agenda and travel information.
